About This OpportunityAs the Manager, Projects and Engagement, you will play a key leadership role within the ODVCA guiding stakeholder engagement for critical projects and initiatives. You will collaborate with a team to support stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management across a range of initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
Strategic Communication and Engagement: Develop and implement an overarching communication and engagement strategy for the ODVCA portfolio. Collaborate with stakeholders to create and execute strategic and operational communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
Content Development and Leadership: Lead communications specialists in developing materials for internal and external audiences, including senior management briefings, presentations, webpages, social media content, and news copy. Provide oversight, supervision, and guidance to team members, particularly in change management and engagement.
Event Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Lead the planning and support of events management activities to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communication. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and address risks, issues, and opportunities for portfolio engagement.
Reporting and Risk Management: Support the Director in monitoring, tracking, and reporting on significant portfolio communication and engagement initiatives. Implement risk mitigation strategies and contribute to ODVCA project management requirements in the context of change and engagement.
About YouEssential Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and change management approaches.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. High-level organizational skills, with a focus on independence, goal setting, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans using various channels.
Knowledge of the strategic and operational environment of a University and current issues in Australian higher education.
Desirable Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including criminal history and education checks.
