In this position, you will lead and develop a dynamic team of Planning Officers, engage with a wide array of diverse stakeholders, provide strategic advice, navigate opportunities and complexities, support continuous improvement, and pursue best practice initiatives.This is more than just a management role—it's an opportunity to shape the future of education in our state.Your Role:You will have responsibility for (but not limited to):Oversee the development and review of key Project Planning artefacts and deliverables, ensuring alignment with departmental goals, objectives, quality standards and regulations.Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, ensuring clear communication, accountability and the development of team members.
Work with team to maintain and support accurate and current project documentation, registers and regular reporting as required.Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or risks that arise and ensuring milestones are achieved in a timely manner.Support ongoing project prioritisation based on strategic importance, resource availability, and service needs.Engage with external and internal stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and ensuring effective communication.Support allocation and management of team resources effectively and monitor utilisation to optimise team performance.Support the procurement of external resources as required.Work with the Director, Project Planning, Managers and other resources to identify, develop and support opportunities for process improvement, artefact refinement, standardisation and alignment with best practice.Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant innovations and continuous improvement into departmental practices.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.About You:To be successful in the role you will possess the following:You will have the leadership capability and relevant experience to communicate strategically and with influence, manage the collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate strategy into practical and measurable actions, communicating the strategic vision, driving change within the division, facilitating a culture of change management within capital infrastructure planning, design and innovation.Interested?
