Manager (Project Planning and Corridor Management)As a member of the District Leadership Team, you will determine program criteria and priorities to enable projects to be prioritised, in liaison with Project Sponsors, and contribute to departmental and district policies and processes.
This role supports the District Director in achieving the district's strategic road outcomes by providing tactical direction and leading all aspects of transport and network planning and matters relating to corridor management for the district.
You will be based in Cairns; however, the role oversees a program of works stretching from the Torres Strait Islands in the north to the top of the Cardwell Range in the south, and from Cairns in the east to Croydon in the west.
Some travel to these locations may be required, as well as occasional travel to Brisbane.
Responsibilities: Leading and coordinating the district's integrated transport planning and corridor management, providing strategic advice on road system and corridor planning.
This includes monitoring project progress, ensuring alignment with district and regional objectives, and protecting transport infrastructure from third-party impacts.Facilitating business improvement and ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and regulations.In collaboration with local and state governments, safeguarding state road interests in land use planning decisions and ensuring effective road system planning frameworks are in place for decision-making.Managing road network information to support asset management and contribute to a strategic program of works.Overseeing the planning and integration of the district's transport network, managing access to state-controlled roads, and collaborating with local governments on planning schemes and priority infrastructure plans.Mandatory qualifications and conditions: A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Law, Town Planning, or similar qualification relevant to the infrastructure industry.Current holder of Class C driver's license.Criminal history screening will be conducted for the recommended person for this role.Must be eligible to work in Australia.Pre-employment check of serious discipline history for the recommended candidate(s) as a condition of employment.Why you should consider TMR: Generous employer superannuation contribution - up to 12.75%Five weeks annual recreation leave plus leave loadingReimbursement of professional membership feesFlexible work optionsProfessional development opportunitiesSalary packaging arrangementsHealth and well-being incentivesAssistance with relocation expensesFor further information about this position and details on how to apply, please refer to the role description.
