Manager - Project Management Office Full Time, Fixed Term position until June 2027, with potential of extension Fantastic employee benefits with 6 Weeks paid annual leave Salary package commencing at $124,390 (inclusive of 11.5% superannuation and leave loading) Based in Alice Springs with frequent travel to communities in the MacDonnell Region The MacDonnell region located in the centre of Australia, covers 270,000sq km and with an estimated population approaching 7,000.
It has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.
About the Role: As the Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO), you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative and diverse projects that align with the needs of our remote Indigenous communities.
You will work closely with the Director of Council Services to oversee a wide range of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with Council goals and community priorities.

Your key responsbilities are: Lead the establishment and management of the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring effective delivery of projects across our 13 remote Indigenous communities.
Oversee projects from a variety of sectors, including capital works, community-driven initiatives, and local authority projects.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the PMO and across other Council departments.
Engage and work collaboratively with community leaders, Local Authorities, and stakeholders to ensure projects are tailored to the specific priorities of each community.
What we're looking for: You will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in project management, business, or a related field, with extensive experience in managing diverse projects.
You'll have a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor teams in a complex environment.
Experience working in or with remote Indigenous communities or local government will be highly regarded, as will a strong understanding of the cultural and social dynamics of the region.
