It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager Project Accounting will play a pivotal role in Triple Zero Victoria's (000VIC) financial management and decision-making processes. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information relating to strategic organisational projects and initiatives, including high-quality reporting and analysis to both internal and external stakeholders. The primary objective of the role is to support informed and effective strategic and operational decision-making with a public sector focus.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Lead and drive the development, implementation, and enhancement of all 000VIC capital and major project budgeting activities, including the development of relevant frameworks, processes, models and tools to support all stages of the project and capital budgeting lifecycle. Work collaboratively to prepare detailed budgets, forecasts and resource plans for all major projects and significant investment initiatives, ensuring that appropriate financial structures and accounts are established to effectively track, monitor and report on progress.  Lead the development and preparation of comprehensive financial reporting to a range of audiences including Program and Project Control Boards, Project Sponsors and SROs, Project Managers, 000VIC Executive, and key external stakeholders.  Prepare financial and non-financial information to support decision making across all stages of the investment and project lifecycle, applying relevant analytical techniques to aid the assessment of strategic analysis/fit, risk, benefits and expected return on investment. About You The preferred candidate will hold a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Additionally, you will hold the following skills and attributes:
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, modelling, and financial reporting with the ability to exemplify financial management best practice. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Post graduate qualifications/Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and/or CPA Australia would be desirable.
