Full Time fixed term opportunity for a parental leave cover until August 2025 for a Program Manager / Program Management Job Share opportunity for 2 Part time positions Base Salary $121,508 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity Sydney Health Partners (SHP www.sydneyhealthpartners.com.au) is an accredited Research Translation Centre (RTC) which aims to support more effective translation of health research into health care.
It is a partnership of five major health services (Sydney, Northern Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains and Western Sydney LHDs and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (at Westmead), ten independent medical research institutes, and the University of Sydney.
Sydney Health Partners is supported by a small executive team, located at The University of Sydney, Camperdown, and is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
The Program Manager /Project Management provides project management and guidance to two major operational programs within Sydney Health Partners: supporting consumer and community involvement in health research; and supporting the Program Manager with the Clinical Academic Groups Program.
The role involves engagement with senior academic researchers, clinical professionals, consumers, external project partners and other staff.
The role is fulltime, and a job-share option between two people (0.5FTE each) will be considered.
This is a temporary appointment to cover maternity leave and could be a secondment opportunity for eligible candidates The Program Manager /Project Management is responsible for project organisation, including defining roles, responsibilities, and performance indicators for project partners.
They develop and communicate the project charter, and implement the project management methodology, and project processes.
Your key responsibilities will be to: manage overall project organisation, including defining roles, responsibilities, and performance indicators for project staff and external collaborators develop and communicate the project charters, ensuring clarity and common understanding of project objectives and deliverables develop and implement project plans, ensuring accurate definition of phases, objectives, activities, timelines, and milestones establish and communicate the project management methodology, processes, and templates to the stakeholders manage stakeholders and collaborates with project teams manage project contracting and financials, including budget allocation and monitoring expenditure develop and embed project governance and reporting framework, identify risks, and ensure data integrity.
About you extensive project experience managing multiple work streams or working in large complex projects ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands experience managing contracts, budgets and expenditure experience managing multiple diverse internal and external stakeholders with ability to adjust communications towards different stakeholder groups effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods excellent attention to detail with regards to drafting and proof-reading documents with high level of accuracy.
