Join our team as the Manager - Procurement and shape the strategic direction of our Procurement and Supply Chain function in this permanent, full-time position.
Drive relationships with departments, identify opportunities to enhance category performance and deliver substantial savings through innovative procurement strategies. Establish objectives, prioritise and execute initiatives for maximum value. Ensure supplier performance aligns with our goals, negotiate optimal contracts and plan high-value sourcing events. Make a significant impact and be part of an exciting team.
These accountabilities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide expert, evidence-based advice on procurement, category and contracts to support decision-makingFoster a collaborative and innovative workplace cultureDrive capability and performance improvement aligned with strategic objectivesLead and manage a leading practice procurement and supply chain functionManage senior stakeholders and drive initiatives across the organisationEnsure transparency, efficiency, and compliance in procurement practicesAdhere to workplace safety and customer satisfaction standardsFulfill education and professional development requirementsPromote Mater's Code of Conduct and Behavioural StandardsManage recruitment, training, and development of team membersDevelop and adhere to cost center budgets and fiscal stewardship practicesMonitor operational and project costs to meet delivery expectationsAbout you Extensive experience leading procurement functions in large and diverse organisationsStrong knowledge of commercial and contract negotiations, and contract and supplier managementExceptional leadership skills to inspire and motivate teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport and influence stakeholdersDeep understanding of procurement principles and regulations in the not-for-profit and healthcare sectorsDynamic, positive, and customer-focused approachAbility to thrive in a fast-paced team environmentMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
