About the role As Manager Procurement, you will lead and direct the provision of procurement services, including planning, directing, and sourcing frameworks in support of the delivery of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator's (NHVR's) strategic priorities. This opportunity will be offered in a permanent and full-time capacity and based in Newstead/Gasworks complex.
Reporting to the Director Procurement and Commercial Services, you will use your proven leadership skills to lead, mentor, and develop employee capability within your team to support an organisation undergoing considerable growth and transformation.

What you'll be doing Lead a small team that directs the organisation-wide procurement services for NHVR. Work with business units to ensure procurement and contract management activities comply with NHVR policies/procedures and meet obligations under government procurement processes. Lead, drive, and manage the transformation of the procurement function from a commodity focus to a category-centric focus. Manage and coach individual and team performance and behaviours, implementing supporting metrics and targets to drive transformation, achievement, and continuous improvement strategies. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Well-developed and complex understanding of procurement frameworks, systems, and processes. Considerable experience in Government procurement. Demonstrated success in leading a high-performing team. Experience and prior working knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry and Regulatory Compliance (considered highly regarded).
