About the opportunity Over the past couple of years Australia Post has made significant progress in the continuous improvement capability of the network operations tea. In line with the Post26 strategy, we are creating new roles to sit within the Network Capability team dedicated to process excellence.
This team will be focused on standardising our governance frameworks and identifying and executing major function & network wide continuous improvement projects.
What you'll deliver with us Australia Post is establishing a holistic approach to how it addresses process excellence enabling the acceleration of continuous improvement programs of work.
The establishment of a federated operating model will create enterprise consistency of methodologies, tools, processes and overall capability – governed centrally and executed within each business area.
Accountable for the modelling, design and mapping of process flows, identifying areas for efficiency / improvement across the network through the effective application of DMAIC methodologies. This role will lead a small team of continuous improvement specialists.
You'll also Use Lean methodologies (DMAIC) and analytical approaches to improve operational efficiency and capabilities. Facilitate the improvement of operational processes within strategic continuous process improvement projects. Measure and evaluate changes to business processes. Sponsor and develop existing LEAN practices in the pursuit of continuous improvement, including coaching and mentoring of Lean Green Belt practitioners. About you You will be a committed leader of change within the business and able to develop excellent solutions. You will have black belt qualification realised benefits for an organisation in the past. You will have excellent communication skills, strong influencing skills and an ability to build fact based arguments for changes.
You'll also need Experience in the application of the lean practices within an operational / logistics environment Demonstrated capacity to work in collaboration to drive tangible continuous improvement outcomes Proven experience in influencing business leaders to embrace a culture of continuous improvement How we'll deliver for you A unique transformation project that will mean you get to help shape the future of Australia Post Lead cross functional projects and add real value to the business.
