The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Manager, Prison Disability Support Initiative to provide a critical role within The Offender Services and Reintegration Division of Corrections Victoria.
About the Role You will lead a team providing assessment, clinical consultation, behaviour support and other interventions for prisoners with disability and complex needs, with specific focus on prisoners with cognitive impairment. You will continue to develop the PDSI service, as well as providing high level advice to internal and external stakeholders and provide leadership and line management to the team.
Some of your duties will include:
Provide strategic oversight of the delivery of services to service users alongside the PDSI Clinical Services Manager, in alignment with best practice, government policy, legal, stakeholder and operational priorities.Manage a multi-disciplinary team, oversee performance management, and professional development opportunities for all staff working within the Prison Disability Support Initiative.Proactively identify and analyse emerging systemic issues and trends impacting delivery and integration of services. Provide authoritative advice to senior management about how to respond to those issues, including implications and risk management strategies.About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in providing values driven leadership within a highly complex service delivery area, preferably in relation to people with disability and complex needs.Demonstrated experience managing and leading staff.Experience in and knowledge of case co-ordination, assessment, and behaviour intervention treatment models with complex populations.An understanding of and commitment to the application of best practice principles of therapeutic intervention with offenders.An understanding of the challenges involved in working within a forensic environment.Relevant clinical qualifications are desired but not required for this role.Qualifications/Requirements Relevant clinical qualifications are highly desirable.How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
