Manager – Primary Health Strategy

Northern Territory PHN leads the development and coordination of an equitable, comprehensive primary health care system and an engaged health workforce driven by community needs.
About the Opportunity
Leading strategic primary health care programs and initiatives to improve the sustainability of the Northern Territory's primary health care system.
Key areas of leadership responsibility include health policy, advocacy, needs analysis, health workforce planning and prioritisation, data and digital health and health system reform.
The primary health strategy team is part of a key service delivery branch within NT PHN focused on the provision of support services and building the capacity of the Northern Territory primary health care sector.
As part of the organisation's senior leadership team, the role is also responsible for working collaboratively to deliver on the organisation's strategic plan and supporting best practice and quality improvement across branches.
If you have the following skills and experience, we'd love to chat:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in health economics, health management, business management or another relevant discipline and/or extensive experience in a relevant field.
Formal training in communications, project management and/or stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.
Senior-level management experience including demonstrated skills in leading high-performing teams.
Demonstrated experience in complex stakeholder engagement and a strong understanding of the principles of codesign and strategic partnership.
Excellent project management skills including objective setting, resource planning/allocation, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal including business case writing, preparing published material, public speaking, strategic reporting.
Demonstrated ability to research issues, analyse and formulate recommendations, implement decisions, and review outcomes.
Excellent strategic planning skills.
Experience in developing and/or interpreting policy and the ability to lead the development of policy positions.
Strong data management skills including an ability to effectively interpret and analyse datasets to inform strategic direction, priority setting and measure outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in managing, delivering and evaluating strategic projects, with demonstrated success in an equivalent role.
Experience in a relevant industry within the Northern Territory, or demonstrated management experience within the Australian health sector.
Demonstrated understanding of primary healthcare and/or social challenges in the NT is highly desirable.
