Your Role This is a senior leadership role in the IIA Pricing Team within our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) division which has an annual GWP in excess of A$5 billion.
Your unique value add in this role is to lead, embed and upkeep best in class, well-governed, end-to-end pricing for the Complex & Specialty suite of products, which includes but is not limited to Workers Compensation, Liability, Professional Risks, Construction and Engineering, ISR, Cyber and Fleet.
You'll be responsible and accountable for the design, build, implementation, upkeep and monitoring of the pricing and analytics models; and deriving insights and recommendations for our business. You'll work in close partnership with stakeholders across the value chain to devise and execute pricing and broader business strategies and identify underlying risk drivers impacting the current and future profitability of our products.
You'll play a critical role in the transformation and enhancement of our business, where your rich experience and expertise will be leveraged to design and define our future state, which will be built out under your leadership and guidance. Leveraging data, technology and AI, you'll have a curious mindset and strive for excellence, effectiveness and efficiency.
You'll be a manager of managers, leading a team of actuaries, data scientists and analysts, and will provide support and guidance to optimise performance and output of the team. You'll foster a positive team culture and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and development for team members.
This is a permanent role, and we welcome applicants from Gadigal Country (Sydney) and Naarm (Melbourne). About You You have tertiary qualification in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant technical disciplines.Extensive knowledge and experience in general insurance industry, ideally in commercial insurance, with 15+ years of experience.Advanced knowledge of traditional actuarial and technical pricing methods for general insurance classes.Advanced knowledge of modern analytics methods and practices.Proficient communication and influencing skills, and ability to effectively discuss and present complex information, analysis and findings to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels including C-suite executives.Strategic and innovative mindset, and ability to shape strategies and initiatives into tactical plans for successful delivery.Advanced leadership skills and ability to role model values and behaviours.Applications close Sunday 12 January, 23:59pm AEDT.
