To contribute to Active Tasmania operations and outcomes through the provision of authoritative policy advice, and the management of priority projects and key initiatives on sport, recreation and physical activity issues and trends.Provide high level support to the Manager Active Tasmania and the development and operational teams. Be responsible for research, analysis, development, implementation, and review of physical activity polices, programs and strategies.

Duties Provide high level advice and recommendations on policies, programs and strategies based on thorough analysis and consideration, and consultation with key stakeholders, to increase Tasmanian's participation in sport, recreation and physical activity. Develop, implement, and manage the delivery of projects using contemporary project management tools and techniques to ensure milestones are achieved and outcomes are delivered on time and within resource constraints. Monitor and analyse developments and emerging trends in the sport and recreation sector and in physical activity, and initiate policy responses appropriate to changing community needs and circumstances within Tasmania. Prepare high level written work and correspondence which may include Ministerial correspondence, Minutes, Cabinet documentation, briefing material, reports, submissions, and other documentation as required. Establish, build and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective and ongoing engagement to understand how policies and projects may affect Active Tasmania outcomes. Contribute to Active Tasmania's strategic planning, operational planning, budgeting and the setting of objectives, goals and outcomes to ensure Government priorities are met.
