The Manager Policy and Legislation operates in a complex, dynamic, and politically sensitive environment and is accountable for the management of the legislative review program and for ensuring high-quality advice is provided to the Environment Protection Authority and across the South Australian Government. The incumbent works with government and industry in developing solutions to minimise impacts and risks to the community.The Manager Policy and Legislation may represent the EPA or the Government on committees and other groups at the state or national levels as required. The role will also manage intergovernmental relations and provide high-level advice on the impact of national policies on the state's strategic plans and operations.About UsThe Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is South Australia's independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise, and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community, and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the Environment Protection Act 1993 (EP Act) and the Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021 (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.What the EPA OffersThe EPA boasts a range of different flexible working arrangements which include flexitime (flexible start and finish times), working from home, compressed weeks, and purchased leave. We want our employees to feel that their working needs will be met in this modern and ever-evolving working landscape.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in science, engineering, law, or other relevant discipline.RemunerationMAS3 ($127,859 per annum) + 11.5% super added to your choice of super fund.All applications must be submitted online.
