About the role: The Manager, Planning & Business Improvement reports to the Executive Manager, Corporate Services and leads a team of three in the Planning & Business Improvement team. They are an internal and external advocate for VicHealth's strategy and purpose, developing and nurturing positive working relationships with external stakeholders. They have a close working relationship with the CEO and other members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), as well as with team members across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:Leading the development and implementation of a data strategy for VicHealthLeading the development, operation and coordination of VicHealth program and project management activities, developing organisational capability, tools and resources to maintain a high standard in project planning, delivery and close-outLeading the review, standardisation and updating of business processesDriving best practice in procurement and contractingManaging and owning VicHealth's project and grant management IT systemsAbout you:
We're looking for someone who has experience in reviewing business systems and processes and for delivering business improvement initiatives and experience in translating project management methodologies into organisational policies, guidelines and practice.
The successful candidate will have well-practised people management skills; and the ability to build trust with stakeholders through consistent actions and clear written and verbal communication.
