Manager People Experience – Manningham Council
Manningham Council is a progressive and community-focused organisation known for its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity. Located in Melbourne's east, Manningham offers a unique blend of city convenience and natural beauty, providing a vibrant and rewarding environment for professionals dedicated to making a positive impact.
Reporting to the Director of Experience and Capability, you will lead the People Experience function, a well-regarded and high-performing team responsible for Human Resources, Organisational Development, Safety and Wellbeing, and Workforce Planning. This role will involve driving the development and delivery of the People Strategy, driving a culture aligned with Manningham's "We Are" values and fostering a diverse, agile, and capable workforce. You will oversee service delivery frameworks that ensure the organisation continues to meet its legislative obligations while evolving to address the needs of the workforce and community.
You will work closely with leaders across the Experience and Capability directorate and broader organisation to embed contemporary practices, champion cultural transformation, and implement innovative solutions to workforce challenges. As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert guidance to executive, senior leaders, manage complex industrial relations matters, and lead key projects that enhance the organisation's capacity to deliver high-quality services.
To succeed in this role, you will bring extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering strategic people initiatives. Your generalist HR background will be complemented by a business-minded approach, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to challenge the status quo. While experience in a legislative or regulatory environment is desirable, your high integrity, ethics, and strong collaboration skills will be key to building trusted relationships and delivering impactful results. As a values-driven people leader, you will inspire and empower your team to achieve exceptional outcomes for Manningham and its community.
