About the Position: People are the most important asset of any organisation, and the Manager People & Culture at the Shire of Broome is the key to unlocking this full potential.  Leading a dynamic team across the disciplines of HR and WHS, as well as working closely alongside Executive and Management, this role is responsible for the successful implementation of Council's strategic and corporate business plans, through strategic and operational workforce planning.  Formal qualifications in HR or related field.  At least five years' experience in a senior HR role or related function, including demonstrated experience leading a team in a service driven environment.  Advanced and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary human resource, employee relations and industrial management practices.  Demonstrated experience in workplace conflict resolution.  Demonstrated ability and success in developing and managing strategies that translate into best practice outcomes that support a positive workplace culture.  Proven financial planning and budget management experience.  Extra points for experience in local government and the Western Australian industrial relations regime!  About the Shire: Working for the Shire of Broome means you will enjoy not only an amazing work and holiday location, but also the following benefits: Base salary range between $125-$135,000 per annum depending on qualifications, skills and experience.  $10,000 per annum Broome location allowance.  Housing allowance between $16,000-$22,000 depending on home ownership.  Shire provided motor vehicle with unrestricted private use.  Leave entitlements well above industry minimums, including additional annual leave and executive leave - giving you every opportunity to enjoy that Broome lifestyle!
