We are excited to offer a permanent full-time opportunity for a Manager of Parks and Environment Services to deliver high-quality services that align with our operational and strategic goals.
This role is part of the Technical Services team and plays a key part in leading and shaping the team's direction. You'll help drive innovation and support the organisation's long-term objectives.
The key responsibilities of this role are to: Develop and implement an annual branch plan.Develop and implement policies and strategies for parks and environmental services.Manage and monitor operational plans for the branch.Oversee planning and management of:Parks planning and development.Parks management and maintenance.Environmental management and improvement programs.Ensure a high standard of human resource management, governance and compliance.Support team members understand their roles and responsibilities.Manage the branch's budget, including planning and reviews.Ensure financial compliance with City systems.Work with internal teams for shared success.Represent the City's interests with external stakeholders and governments.Identify opportunities to optimise the TechOne system and branch processes.Uphold and consistently demonstrate the City's values and behaviours.Promote a culture of excellent internal customer service and continuous improvement.Well-developed leadership and human resource management skills.Demonstrable ability to introduce, lead and manage organisational change.Demonstrable political and business acumen.Demonstrable ability to transform strategic concepts into practical outcomes.High level customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.Well-developed strategy, policy development and problem-solving skills.Well-developed planning, program and project management expertise.Well-developed financial management and budgeting skills.Relevant experience in parks and environment services or related areas.Ability to operate corporate computer systems.Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience at a senior level.National Police Clearance (not more than 6 months old at date of appointment).Salary Package A total salary package of circa $180,000 P/A (inclusive of vehicle allowance and Superannuation Guarantee contribution).
