About the role From 1 January 2024, the Department of Planning and Environment was split to create the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) . We are looking to appoint an experienced Manager Organisational Development for each Department. As the Manager of Organisational Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our department's future and delivery of strategic organisational development and culture priorities. In this key position, you'll be leading a dedicated team of specialists responsible for developing a comprehensive employee listening strategy, revamping a reimagined performance development framework, and elevating our talent review and succession planning processes, as well as providing strategic advice and solutions for bespoke needs. You'll also enhance our Recognition Framework and align our leadership development initiatives with broader departmental goals. This includes leveraging technology platforms and maintaining a centre of excellence for performance development and management, recognition, and talent and succession planning frameworks. Your role will involve providing strategic direction, project leadership and senior stakeholder management in the design and execution of organisational development initiatives that that foster a strong department culture and a positive, engaging work environment. You'll oversee high-level decision making, stakeholder engagement, and overall program implementation also be tasked with managing a team of specialists, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. You'll manage budgets and small project teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Key challenges include engaging and influencing decision makers to support a high-performance business aligned with business objectives and establishing a holistic approach to the design and implementation of systems and processes across the departments. For more information read the full Role Description: Manager Organisational Development What you will bring to the role Demonstrated delivery leading employee experience, culture, talent management, performance and recognition initiatives in a large office and field-based organisational context Experience of deploying technology platforms for employee feedback and engagement, such as Qualtrics. Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals. Strong self-accountability, solution focus and problem-solving abilities, resilience and a positive attitude to persevere through obstacles Outstanding senior stakeholder engagement and project leadership skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes. What is an essential requirement: Tertiary qualifications in in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent significant experience.
