This position is responsible for leading all the business units based at the Depot and managing their day-to-day operations, including overseeing fleet management and mechanical services, and leading the Depot-based outdoor workforce undertaking construction and maintenance work for roads, footpaths, reserves, drainage, turf, and horticulture. This position also involves managing a number of works teams and ensuring the highest standards possible whilst being accountable for a multi-million-dollar budget.The role requirementsTo be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification or significant practical experience managing municipal operations and works, and experience in managing and leading a large and diverse workforce across multiple business units in a dynamic, community-focused environment. Additionally, you will have practical experience in financial management and construction management of projects, experience in asset management including the acquisition, disposal and ongoing maintenance of Plant and Equipment, and proven financial/commercial acumen. This role will require someone with strong interpersonal skills, particularly negotiation and change management, resilience and self-motivation, sound strategic thinking and decision-making skills, and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.RemunerationThe base salary range starts at $155,215 per annum and can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
