Manager Operational Risk and Resilience As our highly valued Manager Operational Risk and Resilience based in Brisbane, your role will be within the second line of defence, responsible for overseeing and challenging the operational risk management and resilience management activities conducted within the Bank. This role ensures the Bank's operational resilience by providing independent oversight, guidance, and assurance on risk management practices. You will collaborate across the Bank to promote a risk-aware culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will support the ongoing maturity of our risk framework as our business evolves, supporting our purpose of helping every Australian own their own home.
You'll make an impact by: Review and assess the effectiveness of the risk management framework, including through the review of controls assessments, issues and incidents.Conduct independent risk assessments, controls testing, and scenario analyses to evaluate potential impacts on the business.Monitor and report on key risk indicators, issues, incidents, metrics, and emerging risks.Review and challenge the business impact assessments, business continuity and disaster recovery plans developed by the business.Ensure regular resilience testing and simulations are conducted and reviewed.Collaborate across the Bank to enhance resilience and provide oversight and challenge to the Bank's resilience activities.Ensure compliance with relevant APRA standards, including CPS230, CPS231, CPS232, CPS234, and CPG235.To succeed in this role, you will have: At least six years Financial Services Operational Risk and resilience management.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational risk and resilience management.In depth knowledge of operational risk management frameworks and methodologies.Proficiency in business continuity planning and resilience management.Knowledge of relevant Financial Services sector standards, including legislation, regulation, prudential standards, codes etc, including, but not limited to combinations of the following, APRA prudential standards, Corporations Act, Customer-Owned Banking Code of Practice, Privacy Act and the AML/CTF Act.Demonstrated experience working in second line of defence roles.Why Great Southern Bank?
