About YouWe're seeking a candidate who is passionate about community involvement, dedicated to passing on their skills to the next generation, and equipped with strong leadership abilities to manage daily operations in a safe, productive environment.
Key Responsibilities Management and OperationsOversee daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow.Coordinate workshops, projects, and community events.Construct key public furniture pieces for our private open spaces.Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition.Safety ProtocolsImplement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols.Conduct safety training sessions and ensure adherence to regulations.Perform regular risk assessments and take corrective measures when needed.Community EngagementCreate a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all members.Encourage participation in projects and facilitate skill-sharing.Collaborate with local organizations and community groups as needed.Administrative DutiesManage membership registrations and maintain accurate records.Prepare activity and safety reports.Handle budgeting and financial oversight for shed operations.Qualifications Proven experience as a Tradesperson or Carpenter with advanced woodworking skills.Prior supervisory experience is preferred.Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in workshop environments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well with diverse individuals.Passion for community engagement and a commitment to making a positive impact.Your application will include the following questions:
