Job DescriptionAs a Manager of Finance Transformation at Zendesk, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of a dynamic, forward-thinking company. Leveraging your expertise in financial modeling and Adaptive Planning, you'll drive key business decisions by developing and refining complex models that provide valuable insights. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, proven project management skills, and a passion for process improvement. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance FP&A processes, address evolving priorities, and contribute to strategic initiatives, all while maintaining and troubleshooting critical systems.
What you'll be doingFinancial Modeling: Utilize Adaptive Planning to develop and refine complex financial models, providing insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, including project scoping, planning, issue/risk mitigation, and status reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various finance teams to address their forecasting and reporting needs, providing innovative solutions and ensuring smooth and efficient handovers.
Process Improvement: Initiate and lead enhancements to manual, transactional, and system-based FP&A processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners in IT and Finance Shared Services, ensuring alignment and coordination of core monthly processes.
Strategic Initiatives: Tackle evolving priorities, including ad hoc analyses and testing new systems and processes, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the team.
Systems Maintenance: Independently problem solve technical Adaptive issues.
What you bring to the roleExperience: 6-7 years of relevant work experience in finance, Adaptive Planning, systems, accounting, or finance transformation.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adaptive Planning are essential. Experience with NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, or other financial planning tools is a plus.
Analytical Mindset: Strong financial modeling capabilities and an analytical approach to problem-solving, with a high aptitude for working with data.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and development.
Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Excel. Working knowledge of SQL, NetSuite, Salesforce, Hyperion, Anaplan, or other planning tools is desirable but not mandatory.
The US annualized base salary range for this position is $109,000.00-$163,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location.
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
