ABOUT THE ROLE Oromax is seeking a Manager of Finance and Strategy to lead our Finance operations. This role will be responsible for the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our financial activities while managing financial records and implementing effective internal controls.
The Manager of Finance and Strategy is a newly created position, reporting to the General Manager. We are seeking an experienced accountant to be part of the leadership team to support Oromax's ongoing success through leading and managing financial operations and data for commercially astute decision making.
Key Responsibilities: Day-to-Day Accounting: Supervise the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Budget Management: Forecast and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, report on variances, and implement cost control measures to track and enhance efficiencies. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Oromax Finance team by fostering a culture of growth, support and development.Financial Statements: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, ledgers, and income statements, to reflect the financial status of Oromax.Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintaining accurate financial records and implementing internal controls to achieve budget targets. Business and Process Improvement: Identify and implement budget principles to enhance and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations, reporting and commercial decision making. ABOUT YOU Qualifications and Experience: Proven track record in budget forecasting, reporting, and accounting operations within private medical practices, ideally you will have day hospital experience.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, MS Excel).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.Significant experience in similar role(s) and/or a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
