About the Role Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is committed to reconciliation and creating an equitable education system and workplace for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We have a strong commitment to Community, growing our Ngutana-Lui Cultural Studies Centre since the 1980s, a dedicated facility designed to educate our students, teachers, and employees understanding of, and respect for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures, Stories, Histories, and Peoples.
As Manager of this centre, you will be responsible for ensuring that Ngutana-Lui fulfills its purpose to build cultural competency among BCE teachers and employees, to teach Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in a unique classroom setting within the Brisbane Archdiocese, while growing the offerings of the centre to extend offerings to the broader community. You will manage the centre to continue to deliver existing programs while creating new opportunities to further grow centre offerings.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education, your success will be defined by your ability to: BCE considers that being Aboriginal and/or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
