We provide services throughout the NT, including service centres in Darwin, Palmerston, Malak, Tiwi Islands, Daly River, Wadeye, Jabiru, Maningrida, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Santa Teresa, Titjikala, Finke and APY lands.
CCNT has a dedicated portfolio for Domestic and Family Violence (DFV), focusing on primary prevention, support for victim-survivors, and programs for those using violence. Our men's DFV programs include:
Men's Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) : Based in Darwin and Wadeye, this evidence-based program helps men develop respectful attitudes and behaviours in relationships through group sessions and individual case management.
Youth Behaviour Change Program (YBCP) : In development for the Tiwi Islands, aiming to address violent behaviours in youth.
Court Support Program : Available in Darwin and Katherine, this program collaborates with the Respondents Early Assistance Legal Service (REALS) to offer integrated support for men impacted by DFV, including legal assistance and referrals to other services.
We also have Women's Safety Workers who support family members in conjunction with MBCP facilitators.
About the role Join CatholicCare NT as a Manager to oversee and coordinate programs aimed at helping men change violent and abusive behaviours. As a subject matter expert in Men's Behaviour Change (MBC) programs, you will drive the development and implementation of these programs, ensuring compliance with standards and quality practices. Knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training principles is essential.
What we are looking for Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology or related. Demonstrate subject matter expertise in supporting wellbeing through Men's Behaviour change programs. Proven ability to develop partnerships, promote service capability and to represent the organisation in a consistent professional manner. Ability to develop strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and other services. At least 5 years' experience with managing and supporting diverse staff groups and including the capacity to provide subject matter supervision to staff. Ability to work to targets, write reports, meet deadlines, and manage compliance. Ability to work within a demonstrated alignment to the values and mission of CatholicCare NT. Interviews on : Monday 17 June 2024 from 9am to 12pm. Interviews may take place earlier than anticipated at the discretion of the panel.

If you have resided in an overseas country for 12 months or more in the past 10 years, this position requires you to complete an International Criminal History check (ICHC) prior to you employment commencement date. The outcome of the initial screening check must be satisfactory.
