Join us as Manager, Media & Public Affairs and help advance our mission to prevent violence against women.
Due to extended leave within the team, Our Watch is searching for an experienced manager to lead our media engagement activity.
Working within a dynamic and supportive Marketing & Communications team, you'll identify opportunities, provide strategic media advice and lead a small team of media professionals.
About you You are a skilled communicator with a knack for storytelling and a strategic mindset.You thrive in a collaborative environment, are comfortable providing strategic media advice to senior stakeholders, and can respond quickly to emerging issues and opportunities.You understand advocacy and know how to work with a cross-section of teams to develop positioning pillars which cut through with the media and the public.You're passionate about good leadership and thrive on building teams from the ground up.You love problem solving, and can expertly manage media issues with sensitivity, efficiency and an astute political lens.While not necessarily from the prevention sector, you understand Our Watch's vision and mission.Why work for us Our Watch is strongly committed to the wellbeing of its employees, and we strive to continuously improve our employee experiences at work.
