About the role:The Manager, Marketing leads the marketing and communication team that sits within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Governance and Accountability Branch within the Department of Health.The role is responsible for developing and delivering evidence-based behaviour change campaigns and overseeing the delivery of communication services that support the work of Gambling Harm Prevention and Response (GHPR) unit.
This includes responsibility for strategic communication, program marketing, branding, and management of digital assets.This role is funded by the DTF Community Support Fund to provide dedicated expertise and enabling support to the Gambling Harm Prevention and Response unit.How you'll make a difference:Lead the development and execution of the GHPR work through communication, marketing, stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and digital strategies.Provide leadership in the development of annual consumer marketing plans to effectively reach and engage target audiences with the goal of preventing and reducing gambling harm.Manage the creation and execution of best practice campaigns including the development of digital content and assets, optimised for owned, paid, and earned media.Establish and maintain effective processes and standards that adhere to government communication guidelines and advise the GHPR unit on all matters related to these requirements.Drive the strategic narrative across internal and external communications and collaborate with relevant corporate communications staff to deliver on priority projects and ensure appropriate compliance with the organisation's corporate and consumer brands.Lead and mentor the marketing and communications team, improving individual team members' learning and development towards better marketing and communications performance.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations or other related fields will be desirable.What we offer:The opportunity to perform meaningful work, making direct contributions toward enabling Victorians to be the healthiest people in the world.A wide range of growth and development opportunities within the department and wider Victorian Public Service & Sector.A strong commitment to work-life balance, including a diverse array of flexible working arrangements.How to apply:Applications should include a resume and a cover letter.
