Primary Objective: Provide advice and information to management, other government agencies, developers, and the public regarding Crown land transactions, including lands sales, leases, and licences in the southern region of the Northern Territory.
Assist and support the efficient delivery of Crown land transaction projects to support sustainable development in the Territory.
Assist with the management of the Crown land maintenance programs, including management of firebreaks, weeds, drains and illegal dumping.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of complex Crown lands projects, including land sales and management.
Provide advice and information to management, other government agencies and the public on matters relevant to the release of Crown land.
Prepare licences, Land Titles Office, contractual and other project documentation to facilitate Crown land transactions.
Monitor and provide advice on compliance with Crown leases and licences.
Develop and maintain project management databases relating to Crown Land Transactions projects.
Maintain ILIS records relating to Crown Leases.
Prepare Chief Executive, Ministerial correspondence, and briefings in relation to Crown land transactions.
Ensure a high level of client focus and client satisfaction.
Assist with the management of the Crown land maintenance programs, including procurement of works relating to the management of firebreaks, weeds, drains and illegal dumping.
Selection Criteria Essential: Demonstrated ability to provide advice and information to management, other government agencies and the public, including the ability to interpret, analyse and provide advice on policy and legislation.
Sound project management and commercial skills to assist with delivery of complex projects.
High standards of probity, accountability, and confidentiality.
Sound communication skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, government agencies, developers, and external service providers and to prepare accurate reports and briefings on technical matters and complex issues.
Good organisation and time management skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Sound knowledge of PC based office systems as well as knowledge of associated office and land administration (ILIS or similar) software.
An ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
An understanding of work, health, and safety matters as they apply to a workplace or the ability to acquire knowledge within a short period.
