DutiesLead and manage the Loan Services team responsible for pre-approval advice and the support of post-approval loan management, promoting strong internal and external client service and business focussed approach.Provide authoritative and consistent advice, support and skills coaching across business areas responsible for delivering loans to external clients, working in a professional and client focused manner, developing effective and productive stakeholder relationships, and leading business improvement projects.Analyse lending metrics to provide regular quality reporting and specialist advice to the Tasmanian Development and Resources (TDR) Board and its subcommittees on loan quality and risk, financial and commercial viability, and ongoing compliance with TDR's credit policy.
Prepare the monthly board report and attend Tasmanian Development Board meetings, as required.As an approved delegate of TDR, exercise judgement in accordance with the approved delegation on any request to vary loan terms and/or conditions and execution of loan and other variations documents as required.Liaise and negotiate with internal and external parties for legal advice to develop quality legal documentation for loan agreements and security documentation and assume relationship management of impaired loans with arrears greater than 90 days, including liaising with external professionals such as receivers and liquidators.Ensure lending risks are mitigated and processes are clear and consistent, and manage the development and maintenance of templates, tools, and resources (including policies, procedures, risk management tools and quality standards).Ensure that all applicable terms and conditions of approved loans are accurately reflected in the relevant legal documentation and appropriately recorded within the department's information systems.Provide oversight and direction on management of all loan data, technology and resources for compliance, data security, integrity and future use, including management of the current system, scoping, development and implementation of any future system needs, and maintenance of legacy systems to meet business and statutory requirements.Desirable RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualifications and/or banking/financial industry experience including principles of debt collection and insolvency.For more information Name: Melissa Pollard Position: Director, Risk and Resource Management Email: Phone:
