The role is responsible for:
Providing high-level leadership and strategic direction to teams responsible for ensuring DCP policy and practice meets legislative requirements. Supporting the implementation of legislative changes arising from the introduction of the Children and Young People (Safety and Support) Bill 2024. Developing the project scope, plans and outcomes and establishing governance arrangements for the duration of the project. Collaborating with Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to ensure planning around legislation changes meet the cultural needs of children and young people, families and communities. About You We are looking for a strategic leader with significant experience in project management and implementation.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management with high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
In this role you will need excellent communication skills with a proven ability to liaise and negotiate with a diverse range of key stakeholders across the department and the wider public sector.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of key legislation such as the Children and Young Person (Safety) Act 2017 and the Children and Young People (Safety and Support) Bill 2024 is highly desirable.
