We are hiring a Manager to join our Legal team.Reporting to a Director, Legal, the Manager, Legal will be responsible for assisting the Legal team to provide high quality legal advice and services on all matters relating to the organisation's investment, operations and related business activities.The role has a particular focus on Australian and offshore structured investment transactions including fund investments, co-investments, joint ventures, direct investments, reconstructions and disposals across a range of asset classes in both public and private markets.The Manager, Legal will work with the General Counsel, Head of Legal, and Directors, Legal to ensure the organisation's investment, operations and business activities are conducted in line with international best practice, within the limits prescribed by applicable law and that the organisation's rights are fully protected through the provision of legal advice and services.The position is a full-time role for a fixed term period of 15 months.The key duties of the position include:Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Transactions and AdviceProvide strategic legal advice on a wide range of investment and transaction matters across different regions, asset types, and structures, ensuring timely and practical support.Manage and coordinate the legal aspects of investment transactions, including negotiating terms and overseeing investment agreements, while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.Other Legal SupportProvide or coordinate legal advice on various commercial matters, review and negotiate contracts, and work with senior legal team members to manage legal risks and support internal training initiatives as needed.About YouAre you able to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, write concise and commercially focused legal advice, and develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and peers? Plus demonstrate strong collaboration skills by actively contributing to shared goals, proactively supporting other Legal team members, and sharing knowledge to improve practices, while adapting to a busy environment, managing time effectively, and maintaining high attention to detail?QualificationsA law degree or a legal qualification from an Australian tertiary institution recognised for admission to practice in Australia.Admitted to practice in Australia as a solicitor and be currently eligible to hold an unconditional Victorian legal practising certificate.Post-qualification experience of 5 – 8 years.Applicants for this role should hold Australian citizenship.Getting to know the Future Fund Management AgencyThe Future Fund is Australia's sovereign wealth fund, investing for the benefit of future generations of Australians.
