As part of this forward-looking approach, the NLC seeks an experienced and passionate Learning on Country (LoC) Manager to join our skilled and engaged team.
In this role, you'll lead the unique Learning on Country (LoC) program—empowering Indigenous communities by integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary education.
About the Role As the Manager LoC, you will play an important role in driving the development, implementation, and management of this culturally enriching program for secondary Aboriginal students in remote communities.
This position will play an essential role in preserving traditions and empowering future generations.
What You Will Bring: You will bring a commitment to cultural integrity, experience in program management, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Your background reflects strong strategic planning, team leadership, and resource management skills, along with a keen attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving expertise.
Bachelor Degree in a relevant field (Education, Environment, Community Engagement, Community Development) or equivalent lived experience Minimum of two (2) years leadership experience in program management and delivery and staff supervision.
Minimum of five (5) years' relevant practical experience working in program design and delivery.
Current C Class Drivers Licence and the ability to travel remotely via 4wd and light aircraft.
A current Working with Children Clearance Notice (Ochre Card) or ability to obtain same is a requirement of this position.

We offer: A base salary of $110,763 per annum plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include: District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave; Paid Christmas close down; Upon completion of 12 months of service, an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,961.
