Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Manager Internal Audit and Risk Management. This dynamic role is integral to supporting our council's strategic direction by effectively managing the Internal Audit and Risk Management function from the development, implementation and monitoring of risk based internal audit plans, facilitation of risk management planning and the provision of advice and expertise across these functions. As an Internal Audit and Risk Management Expert, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in all our operations. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check). What we are looking for A professional qualification in Auditing or a related discipline is required, along with equivalent demonstrated experience. Demonstrated experience in audit, finance, investigation, and reporting speaks volumes about your expertise and dedication. Understanding the intricacies of the Local Government Statutory framework or similar would be beneficial however the demonstrated ability to quickly grasp these conceptswill be quite acceptable. The ability to professional advisory, consulting and due diligence services to CEO, Deputy CEO and key stakeholders across a broad range of governance, risk and compliance issues. The capacity to lead the Audit and Business Improvement Committee, managing policy maintenance, external member recruitment, audit findings reporting, risk treatment plans, and executive officer duties.
