About the role Due to internal promotion, we seek to hire an Integrated Planning Manager based at our Cowal operation. Responsible for multiple technical functions on site across the mine operations, project, geological and geotechnical planning with a focus of 3 to 36 months. This will require leading and optimising the planning processes, setting direction through solid leadership, technical advice and strategic positioning. The role will lead team members in mine planning, geology, exploration, geotechnical, studies, integrated planning and improvement to deliver excellence across our underground, open pit, geology and processing operations.
The Integrated Planning Manager is a key member of the site leadership team and is accountable for development of the mine operations plan. The role is expected to work collaboratively with peer managers to deliver those targets whilst demonstrating alignment with Evolution values. The position is significant in terms of accountability, responsibility and opportunity, with ownership of multiple key strategic activities and providing exposure to senior internal and external stakeholders.
Within the role, you will be exposed to all parts of our Cowal operation, with ownership and focus on:
Safety, Health, and Environment – Ensuring the Integrated Planning team and the operations plans developed achieves workplace health, safety, and environmental outcomes daily and contributes to our sustainability goals. Work Execution – Shape strategic direction, lead Exploration activity, Geology and Geotechnical teams, delivering future growth and optimisation studies. Technical input to Life of Mine (LOM) plans, Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve updates and budgets, applying a consistent business improvement lens across all activities. Planning, Budget & Forecasting – Lead, manage and own the Integrated Planning budget, collaborating with execution and commercial teams. Cost & Business Improvement – Provide strategic direction for business improvement and innovation across the asset, including performance against budget, whilst ensuring suitable planning and project monitoring tools, tracking, and reporting systems, and standards are in place. Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values (Safety, Excellence, Accountability, Respect) model inclusive leadership with a continuous improvement mindset, challenging existing practices, driving positive cultural and performance through direct engagement. About you You will be a seasoned mining professional with a grounding in a Mining discipline with relatable experience in operations and strategic planning with sound working knowledge of geological processes, mineral processing and geometallurgy, open pit mining, underground mining, and study practices.
To succeed in this role, it is expected you will have the below relevant experience and be able to demonstrate key competencies, including:
At least 10 years of mining related experience. Tertiary qualifications relevant to a mining related discipline or equivalent. First Class Mine Manager's certificate of competency or equivalent is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of mining regulations, WHS legislation, safety management systems and frameworks to maintain regulatory compliance. Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities. Project Management (cost and schedule control), including planning and leading through change. Ability to innovate, seek out global best practice and think differently to apply expertise and emerging technology. Comfortable in presenting key technical outputs succinctly and clearly to key internal (Board, Executive Leadership Team, Investment Management Committee) and external (Local and State Government Departments) stakeholders.
