Learn more about us and what we do at awaresuper.com.auYour New RoleThis role is responsible for the financial performance monitoring, management, and improvement of our insurance arrangements, with a focus on premium sustainability, market competitiveness, and growth.
The position reports to the Senior Manager, Insurance and involves collaboration across various teams to deliver great member outcomes.Key responsibilities include:Governance of insurance fees and costs, including documentation and maintenance of the Insurance Sourcing ModelLead regular reviews to ensure competitive premiums and costs for membersManage the insurance reserve and profit share arrangementsOversee premium calculations, payments, and reconciliationsBenchmark the affordability of automatic insurance for membersDevelop and implement an insurance data management strategyLead reviews with insurers to monitor claim admittance rates and loss ratiosSource, prepare, and review insurance data reported to the RegulatorLead insurance analytics initiatives and develop external data partnershipsMonitor industry developments and competitors to identify opportunitiesHow do you exceed our expectations?The idea of being part of our growth is exciting and you want to play a pivotal role in making super simple.Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (or equivalent) with proven life insurance experienceTertiary or post-graduate qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Management, or related disciplineExtensive knowledge of contemporary insurance pricing practices and strategiesExperience in insurance tenders, pricing, reinsurance, and actuarial calculationsStrong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skillsProven negotiation skills and experience influencing stakeholdersExperience preparing Committee and Board level reportingIn-depth knowledge of the superannuation and wealth management industriesStrong delivery and execution skillsYou are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face.
