Talk to us about how this could work for you.Hours per fortnight73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.DutiesCoordinate the investigation of complaints and incidents associated with the legislation administered by WorkSafe Tasmania and ensuring appropriate investigation standards are maintained.Lead and develop team members by providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and support, in often complex situations, in order to maintain and improve health and safety within Tasmanian workplaces.Monitor compliance standards of Tasmanian workplaces against established criteria including coordinating field-based compliance inspections using discretionary powers to assist or direct workplaces to improve safe systems of work.Prepare and oversee the development of high level ministerial and legal documents including files for consideration by the coroner or prosecution and attend court and tribunal hearings as required.Assist in the development and implementation of operational plans and represent the organisation in a variety of external forums.Perform other duties from time to time as directed or required.Current Drivers Licence.Pre-employment ChecksThe Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
