About the company Davidson Technology are currently partnering with Fraser Coast Regional Council to secure their new Manager, Information Technology who will lead their IT function through their next level of maturity. About the Role The Manager, Information Technology at Fraser Coast Regional Council plays a pivotal role in overseeing the direction and operational management of the IT function. This involves developing and managing operational plans to meet business unit goals, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure IT's role in supporting operational outcomes, and establishing and maintaining IT asset management plans. The role also includes leading IT enhancements and structure management strategies, forecasting strategic technology enhancements, and maintaining industry currency in relevant technology trends. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for maintaining relationships with IT suppliers, overseeing IT team performance, mentoring staff, and providing expert advice on IT matters. Moreover, the Manager is tasked with budget management, adherence to organisational policies, performance management, staff conduct and discipline, leave management, absenteeism monitoring, and recruitment and selection processes. About You To be successful in this role, you would ideally possess relevant qualifications, and experience in a similar role. These qualifications may include relevant post-graduate qualifications, technical certifications, and a Class C Driver's Licence is required. You must demonstrate strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead, mentor, and coach diverse teams within a complex, customer-focused organisation. You should have advanced knowledge and experience in delivering ICT services in the local government environment, with an understanding of enterprise IT management principles, service management frameworks, and cloud-hosted infrastructure delivery. Additionally, you should have a sound understanding of Microsoft and TechnologyOne solutions, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in people management. Key responsibilities include reviewing and optimising IT services, resources, staff, and budget, whilst implementing contemporary IT practises and processes, resolving overlapping responsibilities, reviewing the resourcing model, and providing leadership and direction for staff development and coaching. The Benefits This role offers an excellent remuneration package consisting of Base Salary, 12% Super, relocation costs (if applicable), private use council vehicle, 5 additional days recreation leave, 5 additional personal leave days per year and access to their long service leave after 5 years pro rata.
