This position will focus on:Managing the governance of the Agency's enterprise information.Delivering services, advice, thought leadership, and initiatives to improve information management maturity aligned with business and government requirements.Managing the relationship with National Archives of Australia.As Manager, Information Management Governance, you will be the subject matter expert on all aspects of Information Management, with broad knowledge of the information management lifecycle and specific expertise in government archiving and protective security policies. You will provide leadership and support to agency stakeholders across projects and operations, working closely with teams throughout the Agency to shape the future of knowledge and information capabilities.The key duties of the position include:Information Management GovernanceOversee the Agency's Information Governance Framework to manage information throughout its lifecycle.Create and monitor procedures to enhance information management and ensure they comply with regulations and business needs.Classify and evaluate information according to Records Authorities and implement data retention schedules.Co-lead the Information and Data Governance Authority to approve information management decisions and address issues and risks.Strategy, Engagement and Thought LeadershipAssist with strategic Information Management initiatives, track progress, and adjust as needed to meet business needs.Help implement the Agency's 3-year Knowledge Management plan, ensuring it aligns with Information Management goals.Build relationships with other government departments and partners to enhance industry knowledge and collaboration.National Archives of AustraliaManage the relationship with the National Archives of Australia, represent the Agency in NAA forums.Lead the annual Check-up submissions for National Archives and support the completion of the PSPF Policy 8 attestation.Information Management Assessment, Services and AdviceOversee the Information Management Assessment process to ensure Agency systems comply with Archiving, PSPF, and other requirements.Design, implement, and maintain processes and tools to support excellent information management across the Agency.Work with system business owners, Technology, and users to promote best practices and provide advice on information management. Implement training programs to ensure staff manage information correctly.Compliance, Quality Assurance and RiskWork with Enterprise Risk to develop strategies for managing and mitigating Information Management risks and challenges, including changes in legislation or technology.Applicants for this position require Australian citizenship.Do you have extensive knowledge in information management?
