Today, we are Australia'slargest port for zinc, lead, copper, sugar and fertiliser.Additionally, we handle more motor vehicles and containerised goodsthan any other port in Northern Australia. The goods that flowthrough our ports are grown, mined, manufactured and used to betterthe lives of more than 800,000 people across a vast catchment area,spanning from Hinchinbrook to the Burdekin and west to MountIsa.
On average, more than 7.5 milliontonnes of goods, worth more than $11.4 billion, cross our wharveseach year. Thanks to our customers, we are one of thecountry's most diverse ports, linking more than 30 differentcommodities to 130 ports in 44countries.
The Townsville port is also anincreasingly strategic forward mounting location inAustralia's Defence capabilities, as well as an importanttourism enabler due to its modern dedicated cruise shipterminal.

About the role andyou Providing strategic leadership in Information Technology, with afocus on the ongoing development of innovative practices and newgeneration smart technology in accordance with the Port'sSmart Port strategy.
Develop and execute a "whole of port"information and digital strategy for the Port.Develop and execute a "whole of port" cyberstrategy aligned to regulatory and legislativerequirements.Research, discover and implement new technologies.Conduct rigorous analyses and develop strategic multiyearroad maps.Lead the maintenance of the Port's technology andcommunication network, software and enterprise systems.Implement a customer focused Integrated Management System(IMS).Project management of a suite of technologicalimprovements.Develop and embed end to end Information, Digital and Cybergovernance and standards implementation.Develop an organisation wide data sharing platformutilising business intelligence.Records management. ??Any other dutiesas directed by the? General Manager People,Technology and Performance.Custodian of information assets as per ISO 270018.1.2Ownership of Assets.Lead and professionally develop a team of Information,Digital and Cyber subject matter experts. Experience you'llneed To be successful in the role, youwill require:
Tertiary qualifications in information technology, cyber orsimilar.Current Queensland C class drivers licence.Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card(MSIC) upon commencement of role.Previous experience leading the information technologyfunction in a medium-sized, complex organisation.Experience developing and implementing strategic frameworksrelated to Cyber, Information and Digital.Experience applying a Continuous Improvement operatingmodel across an Information & Digital business unit orsimilar.Experience in developing a Digital Roadmap that includesimplementation of smart technology to address future businessneeds.Experience driving cost efficiencies and upliftingeffectiveness across people, process, systems and data as itrelates to an Information and Digital portfolio.Experience leading a team of Information & Digitalpractitioners and subject matter experts to successfullydeliver strategic objectives for an organisation.Knowledge and experience in administrating a corporate wideIntegrated Management System.A proven track record in successfully implementingenterprise-wide systems and projects.Excellent project management and change managementskills.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.ERP system experience.
