With a Women's Resource Centre in Bega, they provide a drop in, information and referral service for women in the Bega Valley experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence.About the roleWe are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated manager to provide leadership and a client focused response to women accessing the Women's Resource Centre (WRC). The WRC provides a welcoming environment for women experiencing homelessness, social isolation and family breakdown, and those women seeking a safe communal space to share activities and experiences. You will work collaboratively with other programs and staff, local community based and government services, and will directly manage a small team of paid volunteers. You will also provide:Support and referrals for family and domestic violence servicesSupport and referrals for sexual violence servicesSupport and advocacy to access housing and accommodation servicesReferral to legal support and court-based servicesWorkshops and other outreach activities for WRC clientsOther generalist or specialist services providing support for victim survivorsOversight of domestic and family violence community development and education activitiesImplementing daily operational procedures for optimal centre managementInvestigating opportunities for, and compiling, grant applications, request for tender proposals and other associated funding documentsAbout youWith a commitment to empowering women and children affected by DFV, you will demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and in crisis. You will also have:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field e.g. Social WorkSubstantial experience in domestic and family violence service provisionSound organisational, administrative, and management skillsThis position is part-time 28 hours a week, Tuesday to Friday and is in Bega, however you may also be required to work at other locations from time to time.It is a requirement of this role, to hold a current valid Drivers Licence and, or will acquire, a WWCC and National Police Check.This position is open to female applicants only.
