We have an exciting opportunity in the Integrity Services team. As part of the ISU, you will be a member of a cooperative, responsive, trauma-informed and client focused team. You will be required to undertake and manage investigations of highly complex and sensitive matters, provide advice and other services in accordance with legislative provisions, directives, standards, policies and procedures. ISU operates independently within the HLGPPW and deals with a wide range of integrity-related matters across the department.
Provide expert advice and support to senior executives, departmental officers and other stakeholders in relation to:- Suspected corrupt conduct matters and obligations under the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 (CC Act)
- Public Interest Disclosures (PIDs) in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 (PID Act)
- Conflicts of interest
- Lobbying pursuant to the Integrity Act 2009
- Complaints management
- Other integrity-related matters, including any other relevant legislation, directives, policies and procedures
Undertake and manage complex, sensitive and/or contentious investigations, ensuring integrity in investigation processes and use of resources in a high-pressure, high-stakes environment.Provide strategic direction to investigators tasked with investigating suspected corrupt conduct in accordance with the CC Act.Provide appropriate management of PIDs within the department, including actions taken by the department to deal with disclosures, the protection of disclosers from reprisals, recordkeeping and reporting in accordance with the PID Act.Support the ISU team to identify sector-wide and cross jurisdictional insights and trends to mitigate risks and develop relevant prevention initiatives and resources.Prepare high quality correspondence, briefing papers, reports and recommendations for senior departmental officers on significant investigations, PIDs and other integrity issues, including the analysis of information and the identification of key trends and issues.Lead continuous change by providing expert, individualised advice within the HLGPPW on key integrity issues, empowering others and enhancing the department's capability to ensure best practice and manage key integrity issues.Build and manage stakeholder relationships within the HLGPPW and with external agencies such as the Crime and Corruption Commission, Office of the Queensland Ombudsman, Office of the Integrity Commissioner and the Queensland Police Service.Support and work with ISU team members, managers and senior officers to prioritise workloads, implement reporting mechanisms and deliver on the ISU's work program.Provide leadership, guidance and professional development to ISU staff to build the capabilities and skills needed to deliver ISU's services.What we are looking for:
