The Role:

As the Manager of Human Resources, you'll lead our HR Business Unit, driving initiatives that support a positive, agile, and high-performing work environment. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you will oversee a large team of HR professionals and play a critical role in shaping the City's workforce strategy.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Human Resources team, providing strategic direction and support. Oversee HR operations, employee relations, payroll, and workplace health and safety. Develop and implement the City's Strategic Workforce Plan. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic HR initiatives. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and industry best practices.
Skills and Experience: Postgraduate qualifications in HR Management, Employee Relations, WHS, or a related discipline, or extensive practical experience. Proven experience leading HR functions in a medium to large complex organization. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. Comprehensive knowledge of HR, payroll, superannuation, and WHS legislation.
