Position SummaryThe Manager is responsible for the delivery of quality client/patient care in the assigned areas of operations. The Manager fosters and facilitates interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships to ensure a high standard of client/patient care. The Manager assumes major responsibilities for the operational management, coordination, and delivery of client/patient care in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud's standards and policies.
The responsibilities encompass management and leadership, planning, organizing, program development, communication, resource management, policy development, advancement of knowledge, and continuous quality improvement. The Manager is directly accountable to the Director, Health Services – Personal Care Homes for client/patient care management, staffing issues, and budget variances.
The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods. The position functions in a manner consistent with the mission and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
QualificationsBaccalaureate Degree in NursingCurrent active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric NursesCurrent BCLS CertificationComprehensive knowledge of theory, practice, and research in relation to clinical areaA minimum of five (5) years experience within the past seven (7) years, including management and leadership skillsPrevious management experience, preferably two (2) years requiredAbility to foster an interdisciplinary collaborative environment that supports quality client/patient careAbility to respect and promote a culturally diverse populationAbility to meet the physical and mental demands of the jobAbility to respect confidentiality in all formatsGood work and attendance recordConditions of EmploymentValid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00Southern Health-Santé Sud is committed to increasing the representation of Indigenous people within our workforce.
