About the RNA
The RNA has a unique place in Queensland society, not only as the guardian and steward of the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), but also as host to more than 200 events each year at its Brisbane Showgrounds precinct. The Showgrounds is Queensland's largest indoor/outdoor events precinct - this includes the state's major music festival season to major expos, conferences, corporate functions, and gala dinners. It is also home to the Royal International Convention Centre, which is one of the premier events venues in the state and hosts multiple large-scale events every year.
Together with the Ekka, the RNA also operates the Royal Queensland Awards – a national competition – dedicated to unearthing the best of the best in food and beverage to recognise and reward Australia's finest producers and farmers.
In 2010 the RNA embarked on its $2.9 billion Brisbane Showgrounds Regeneration Project - one of the nation's largest mixed-use urban regeneration projects of its kind – which has transformed the Showgrounds into a world-class events destination precinct.
Operating as an independent, not-for-profit member-based organisation, their mission is to celebrate and champion the essential role that agriculture plays in the everyday lives of Queenslanders. Representing more than 4,000 members, the RNA is an organisation that has a reputation for putting its people first and ensuring that the working environment is engaging, professionally fulfilling, and driven by purpose.
With strong leadership, a focus on delivering great outcomes to customers, and a constant drive toward serving its membership, there has never been a better time to join the RNA.
