Applications are sought from suitably qualified Health Information Manager to lead the Health Information Services department at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversight and management of the entire, multidisciplinary Health Information Services team, including recruitment, training and performance management Annual preparation and ongoing monitoring of the services' budget to ensure cost effective and efficient utilisation of resources Timely management of the collection of patient data and the subsequent reporting to all relevant bodies as required by the Department of Health Oversee the submission of data in accordance with statutory reporting timelines, data quality activities and provision of information Oversee coding of inpatient separations ensuring compliance with Australian Coding Standards and internal and external reporting timelines Actively participate and lead quality improvement initiatives, various forums and working groups Qualifications/experience required:
5+ years' experience in a similar role Demonstrated extensive experience in coding in line with the Australian Coding Standards Demonstrated experience in effective staff and project management Desirable: Tertiary Qualifications in Health Information Management and eligibility for membership with HIMAA Working for ERH
