Do work that mattersThe Group Support Services Finance (GSSF) team is part of Group Operations Finance, partnering with senior leadership of the bank's Financial Services, Marketing, Strategy, Risk, Human Resources and Legal functions. The GSSF team manages the end to end finance functions for these businesses, and collaborates regularly with other Business Unit and Group finance teams throughout the organisation. The team manages an annual P&L spend of $2.5b with direct engagement/exposure to ~50% of the Banks senior leadership team.See yourself in our TeamThe purpose of the role is to provide finance support to both business customers and to internal support unit finance business partners as part of the GSSF Centre Finance team. This role will work across GSSF/Group Finance and other internal finance teams to coordinate common deliverables across the group (month and year end deliverables). Prioritization, ability to multi-task, influencing skills and a continuous improvement mindset are crucial to be successful in this role.Key duties will include:End to end management of Corporate Centre (centrally coordinated & adhoc initiatives) Month End responsibilities including reporting, reconciliations & ensuring strong financial control.Coordination of key group deliverables, managing stakeholders (including external auditors) and ensuring the team always delivers quality information in a timely manner.Conducting analysis and providing insights on common expense areas across Support Units e.g. Staff costs, Support Unit allocations and leverage technology for insights and automation.Building and maintaining productive relationships with all key stakeholders (Group Finance & Support Unit Finance Business Partners).Proactively working with the wider GSSF team to embed a productivity and innovation culture, and identifying and delivering on opportunities for business and process improvements e.g. standardized reporting.Ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.We're interested in hearing from people who value:High degree of commercial acumen and strategic thinking and analytical skills.Ability to work independently, self-motivate, innovate and drive results.Demonstrated ability to prioritise, multitask and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.Strong background in financial control related activities.Adept at analysing financial results and distilling into actionable insights for senior leaders.Excellent presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills.Your qualifications:CA/CPA qualified.Strong background in finance business partnering with Executive Manager+ level stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity and change.Fluency and/or experience in Agile ways of working will be viewed favourably.Your DevelopmentIn Financial Services we take a proactive approach to your career development.
