Glenorchy City Council has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Manager Governance & Risk to join the team. You will be responsible for managing and leading the Governance & Risk team and core functions within the Council including Governance, Legal, Insurance, Risk, Policy, Workplace Health and Safety and Delegation Compliance.
The successful applicant will have: Minimum 5 years' experience overseeing Operational Risk Management and Corporate Governance. With an understanding of all functions within Corporate Governance and Risk.Experience in managing a Work, Health and Safety role including application of Work Health and Safety Act 2012.Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to manage a number of diverse teams.Highly developed written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.Experience in developing, updating, and implementing Strategies and Plans.Qualifications required: Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role and a Working With Vulnerable Persons card.Position Hours: Full-Time, 76 hours per fortnight.
Salary: Includes a generous remuneration package with private vehicle use and 13% superannuation
