The key responsibilities include providing high level strategic and specialist advice and analysis on mental health, alcohol and drug, and suicide prevention strategic policy and funding and commissioning issues. As part of the leadership team the position contributes to creating an optimal team environment.The role:Provide high level strategic and specialist advice and analysis to the portfolio Ministers, the Secretary, Agency Colleagues and other Stakeholders on mental health, alcohol and drug, and suicide prevention strategic policy and funding and commissioning issues.Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of operational policies, procedures and protocols for the efficient and effective establishment, management and evaluation of mental health and alcohol and other drug funding program and agreements.Provide specialist, authoritative advice and support to the General Manager and other senior managers of the business unit on a broad range of strategic and operational issues relating to business, information and financial management, including contract management and grant / procurement processes.Provide leadership, mentoring and support to Directorate and SMHS staff to increase their ability to manage funding programs and agreements.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of AppointmentPermanent, full time, day workerposition working 76hours per fortnight,commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $135,408 to $144,527 per annum.
