About us
The NSW Institute of Sport [NSWIS] is a high performance sporting organisation that supports Australian athletes to become world's best. We reach all regions of NSW with an Olympic and Paralympic training facility based at Sydney Olympic Park and high performance hubs across NSW that provide world class daily training environments for our athletes and coaches. Our experts work in collaboration with partners within the national sporting system to create and deliver high performance support services and environments to prepare athletes and coaches for international competition.
About the role
The Manager, Financial Services is responsible for the successful development and realisation of the Institute's financial strategies. The role will drive effective outcomes by providing financial information and advice across the organisation while ensuring that the Institute complies with financial statutory responsibilities within a Shared Services environment.
This is a full time position, attracting a salary range of $149,616 - $162,086 plus superannuation. The contract period for this role is up to 31 December 2028 in line with the Olympic cycle.
This is an identified position requiring a Working with Children Check.

About you
You will have:
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, negotiation and influencing skills, with a passion for sport and industry.
Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of annual financial accounts.
Proven experience in the development of organisational budgets and forecasting
Proven experience providing high level advice and communicating financial information at a senior level
Experience in leading risk management processes
Knowledge of Accounting/Finance reporting, practices and processes
Thorough understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
An understanding of Financial statutory obligations
Experience with Computerised Accounting systems
Demonstrated Corporate Government experience
Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
Extensive experience in financial and fiscal management and services.
CPA or membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia
Valid driver's license
